Goin' to Bible Story

You see, Mommy goes to Bible Stowy (Bible Study) on Thursday nights. Many a nights she rides with Mrs. Kelli. So she waits by the window until she arrives. So I decided Gant and I would reinact this. So, with stroller in tow, Gant and I are ready to go. I tell Mommy I going to Bible Stowy. I go to the window just like she does and realize it's "not yet" time to go. Then I back Gant into the console table to which I say "oh sowwy. . .didn't mean to." I like to pretend a lot more these days and Gant is a great companion to have along for the ride. He seemed to enjoy cruisin' along.

You Didn't Just See This...

On the record: I can't believe Mommy put me in Hannah's PINK stroller and let her push me around the house! And to top it off, she is making me post it on the blog! What will my friends say? Wait a minute, I don't really have any guy friends yet. Most of my friends are forced because they're friends with Hannah. Huh. Well, maybe I won't get a lot of flack for this.

Off the record: I sure had a good time!

I'm Not Listening...

I really enjoy putting my fingers in my ears. Mommy doesn't quite know why. Many a times as we wheel through Walmart I have my fingers in my ears like this and say "ahhhh." Most people think I'm covering up the noise I hear in the store. Mommy told me she would like to do that sometimes. But really, I just enjoy the way it sounds. I'm not trying to be rude. It's just fun. It's the simple things in life that entertain me and make me happy. This is one of those things.

And Some More...

Here we are again, making that crazy noise. Please note, I was trying to have an intellectual conversation here while Mommy and Hannah sounded like something off of the Dumb and Dumber movie (I've only heard about it). To avoid being sprayed with spit yet again by Hannah, I decided to stop the madness and to simply repeat that pooting sound. That's what they want isn't it? And hey, just because I'm a boy doesn't mean I like pooting noises. But Mommy said with my Daddy having the humor he has and she not being too different herself, well, I'm bound to fall into their humor. But for now, I'll maintain my ground. Listen carefully at the end. I made it as discreetly as possible. I can't have this stuff showing up on down the road. What if I'll be the President one day? I can't have something like this on my record!

Who Are These People?

I don't think I live with normal people. Trust me, you'll see what I mean after you watch this. I can't even do the ridiculous thing they ask me to because I'm in shock as to what they are doing themselves. Wow. Is this really what I've been born into?

More Fun in this Exersaucer Thing...

serious silliness

Our staring doubt I won.

Mommy has been putting me in this exersaucer thing a lot these days. I mean, it's great and all Mommy, but there are other things I'm interested in as well such as being held, snuggled, or tickled (I've gotten a pretty good laugh these days and I especially like to try it out when I'm tickled). But it does seem to entertain Hannah. When she's not spinning me around in aimless circles or trying to push me in it, she seems to enjoy a few of the gadgets herself. I, myself, was in the mood for a staring contest as you can see from one such photo. But, no matter how hard I concentrated, Hannah would not join in. She seem more attracted by the ball things. I then decided to have a little fun with Mommy and stick my tongue out for some serious silliness. All in all, I do enjoy my exersaucer. I guess I'll have to as it is becoming a vital part in my everyday play whether I like it or not.

What's This?

Last Monday, the day I turned 5 months, Mommy put this funny stuff into my mouth. She calls it rice cereal. Hmmm, I thought. This is interesting. It tastes like formula but with a little umph to it. I wasn't so sure about it at first. However, I quickly grew to like it. Here is a before, during, and after picture of my first experience with this stuff. Hannah was there also to wipe the mess off my face. She didn't like for me to be messy. So I had Mommy feeding me, Hannah wiping me, and Daddy taking my pictures. I had quite the enterauge (we don't know how to spell that). Wow, rice cereal must be a really big deal.

Where Did Ya Get This?

I don't know where Mommy got this but I sure do like it...especially this big bright sun and blue ball thing. It's nice to have some new scenery to look at. And it feels great not to be sitting in a swing or bouncey or laying on my back. I feel like such a big boy standing up. I think I'm gonna have some fun with this!

Last But Not Least...

Here are the last photos from our trip to Aunt Ashley's last weekend. Papa has a great Nike hat and even let me sport it around for a bit. But, as you can see, it was a bit big for my head. It would definitely provide great shade though for the sunny day. Mommy says we have a plethora of hats in my closet. Perhaps I'll check them out.

We Almost Forgot....

We almost forgot to post this shot of me and my new pal Maggie. Can you tell we were having fun in this picture? She just told me a really funny joke about a dog chasing a cat. Oh boy, you had to be there. My sides were hurtin' it was so funny. I just wish I could remember all the details and the punch line. A joke is no good without a punchline. Sorry Maggie.

Catchin' Up on Some Readin'

Betcha didn't know I can read did ya? Well, I can't. Sorry. No big news in that department yet. But I do enjoy some well illustrated pictures, such as these ducks in this book. I'm sure there's a great story to go behind these pictures but I can't tell you about it. I can only guess it's about a duck and other animals playing outside. Mommy, being the teacher she was, says prereading is a great tool for any reader and that someday glancing at the pictures before reading is a great tool in predicting what the book is about and thus helps with comprehension. I don't know about all that. All I know is I like the pictures. Oh yeah, and I like to drool. Hopefully I won't be doing THAT when I can actually read.

I Love You Maggie

Just another sweet time with Maggie. She was resting so I was showing her love. I think she really appreciated it. Everybody needs a little lovin'.

Oh the Things I Say...Part Two

Mommy laughs at me all the time...especially when I say these things:

Mommy, I go to Bible story. (Mommy I go to Bible study).

No, Mommy, don't talk like dat.

Mommy, you be careful.

I read Jeshus. I be quiet. (I read Jesus. I be quiet)

Mommy, Daddy, what you like drink? (Mommy or Daddy what would you like to drink?)
I started saying this to help Mommy when she's getting supper ready. She tells me to go ask
Daddy what he would like to drink. Now, I ask all the time! Perhaps I'll be a waitress one day
although Mommy says I'm a little aggressive the way I say it and that I'll need to tone it
down if I ever want to get any tips.

I/ Mommy/ Gandma fall downstairs but I/Mommy/Gandma okay.
That's right, we've all fallen down the stairs...Mommy today while holding Gant...but she
okay and so is Gant. I talk about falling down all the time and I remind Mommy and anyone
else going up or down the stairs to "be careful."

Hannah: I go see Ashey.
Mommy replies: Not today.
Hannah: yah, hafta wait.

That's all I can think of now. But I sure get Mommy and Daddy laughing these days with the things I say. She tells me I have to document them so she won't forget one day.

I've never seen something quite like this, but its AWESOME. Her name is Maggie. Okay, Hannah told me you already know that. But it's news to me. I enjoy Maggie. Apparently Hannah does too. She's sweet. She's fun. And she's not too overwhelming. She accepts me for who I am and doesn't give me a hard time. Thanks Maggie. I enjoyed your company over the weekend and look forward to another visit soon. And by the way, you sure are soft.

Eatin' with Papa.

I enjoyed dining with Papa for breakfast last Saturday. My cereal of choice, Frosted Mini Wheats. Boy, I'd never had those before and I sure do love them! I was checkin' to see what Papa was having while he wasn't lookin' to make sure I wouldn't like his better. He just had some Cho's. That's old stuff, Papa. I think I'll stick with my new cereal.

Who Knew?

Who knew Gandma and Papa were good at video games? Mommy sure didn't. She went into this Wii bowling challenge confident she had it in the bag. Well, that wasn't the case because Gandma and Papa blew her out of the water (or so I heard, I was in bed...but they had no idea how loud they were so I was able to follow the evenings antics)! Here are Gandma and Papa duking it out on the Wii. Can you see the determination? I never knew they were so competitive. But then again, they do yell alot at the soccer games. That should have been my first warning.

A Bond Strengthens...

Of course you didn't think we wouldn't post pics of me and my pal Maggie. Boy, was I glad to see her. She is such a dear friend. We had a ton of fun last weekend together. I petted her. I brought her her toys. I layed with her. I threw the ball with her. I even gave her a "cheet" (treat). I miss Maggie already. In fact, as we pulled up to the soccer field Sunday afternoon, I asked, "Maggie comin?" For some reason Mommy got a big kick out of that. Mommy said she pictured Maggie pulling up to the game driving a car. How am I supposed to know if Maggie can drive or not? She seems like a good candidate. She's responsible. She has two arms and two legs. She can see real least I assume she can. She always gets the balls when I throw them. And she's older than me. So wouldn't you think with all of those characteristics she could drive too? But apparently I was wrong cuz she never showed up to the game. We missed you Maggie.

An Amazing Bath

Check out this great bathtub at Aunt Ashey's house! It might as well have been a pool! It was so deep. I had a blast! Ashey even let me play with her squishy pig. However, the party was over once I spotted two pieces of fuzz floating in the water. I screamed and screamed and screamed. I hollered, "NOT GETCHU!" (not get you!). All playing stopped. I waited for someone to either rescue me or destroy the intruders. Thankfully, Mommy and Gandma confiscated the fuzz. And my bath returned to its normalcy. Phew.

Playing with Grandma and Mrs. Lanell

Well, while Hanny played with Papa...I was busy playing with Grandma and Mrs. Lanell. Do you remember Mrs. Lanell? She's the one who got me my awesome soccer ball rattle! She works with Aunt Ashley. She's a fun lady! I had a blast taking in the cool air and chewing on my rattle also while hanging out at the game. Did I tell you that lately all I want to do is chew? Some say I'm teething. Who knows. Mommy said she was convinced Hannah was getting a tooth months before she actually popped one out. Mommy feels my gums to see if anything is cooking under there. Nothing. But I do enjoy feeling the texture of the rattle pressed firmly against my gums. I loved it so much that I couldn't really take in the soccer game. Sorry Aunt Ashley! But I'm sure when I'm a bit bigger I'll be ready to go out a kick a few balls myself!

Our Trip To Statesboro

This past weekend Mommy, Gant, and I went with Grandma and Papa to see Aunt Ashey. She lives all the way down in Statesboro and is the women's soccer coach at Georgia Southern. Mommy told me last week we were going to Aunt's Ashey's house and that we would watch some soccer games. I really wish I understood time better because every day I would wake up and ask if we were going to Aunt Ashey's house. Mommy would say not right now, to which I would reply, "Yah, have to wait minute." Apparently a minute is a LONG time. Finally, a long minute passed and we were on our way to see Aunt Ashey and watch some soccer. This is me and Papa at the first game on Friday. I had a blast! We'll post some more pictures later of our trip. We had a blast! Notice Papa's hat? Every time I looked at Papa I would say, "Papa got a hat." When we went to the second game on Sunday Papa didn't wear a hat. So I said, "Papa got hat?" I guess he just didn't need it that day. Oh well.

5 Months Old!

Hello friends! Can you believe that today I turned 5 months? Yes, you heard right...5 months! To celebrate this new age I decided to sit up on my own...well for three or so seconds but I did it none the less. A couple of this shots show me sitting up without the help of a pillow! Mommy was trying to get me to lean back on the pillows, but being the strapping boy I am, I wouldn't do it. Instead I leaned forward several times until I could hold it together for a few moments. Finally I was successful! In addition to sitting up, I also had rice cereal and sat in my exersaucer! Wow! Those pictures will come later. Mommy can't believe what a big boy I am!

Hangin' with Grandmama

Two weekends ago, Grandmama came to stay with us! I was dragged along with her, Hannah, and Mommy to do a little shopping (Daddy, I can't wait to spend time with you doing manly things when I get older). Then she treated Mommy and Daddy to a movie so she got to hang out with us for the evening. We had a blast. Well, really, all I did was drink a bottle and then I was ready to hit the hay. Once 7:30 rolls around I am ready to sleep! But the next day she played with me while Mommy and Daddy had a garage sale. Hannah helped out. In fact, she wanted to take back some of her toys she saw sitting out for sale. That's gotta stink. But, none of my stuff was out there thank goodness. So I didn't need to keep a close watch on anything. So Grandmama and I just hung out in the garage.

My New Pet....for a Day at Least.

A couple of weeks ago I went to my good buddy, Hayden's party. It was a blast! It was all about underwater friends! It was the neatest party I'd been too. And to top it off I left with two fisheys in a balloon and the other a real, live fish! I was thrilled about both. Here I am posing with my new goldfish when we got home. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to name him because well, Mommy told me the next morning, he had to go away. I don't quite know why. But he no longer sits on my table. I asked a few times where he went but could get no clear answer. I sure did enjoy him while he was here. I watched him a lot and several times picked up the bowl to take to Mommy. I found out quickly I wasn't supposed to do that. But anyways, I was real proud of my fish. Maybe he'll come back one day.

My Pal Judson

A couple of weeks ago my pal Judson came over to play for a little bit. It was perfect, you see, because several times that week I had been telling Mommy that my other seat to my new table was for him. Mommy proceeded to ask me if I had a crush on Judson, to which I replied, "Oh, yeah." I was thrilled that he came to play with me. I made sure he knew that the other chair was for him. So with juice cups in hand and some chips to snack on...well...pretend to snack on...there we sat. It was perfect!

Bathtime...Times Two!

So now I'm no longer a solo bather. That's right, Gant has graduated to the big tub...well kind of. He now bathes on the "ramp" but in these photos he's still in his little tub inside the big tub. Confusing, I know. But these shots were taken awhile back. This was our first bath together. We both LOVED it and still do. In fact, I ask Mommy all throughout the day if I can take a bath. Gant likes to splash me in the tub. He even "splashed" me with a little bit of his pee pee the other night. I just laughed! I like to give him things to play with. I don't want him to get bored and prefer to go back to the old way of bathing. This is just too much fun to stop! When Mommy gets Gant out of the tub I plead with her to let him "stay little bit longer." I just don't want the fun to end. I'm glad Gant is growing up...the bigger he gets the more fun I can have with him!
