More Outside Fun

Here I am just hangin' out and enjoying the spring air.

Get It?

Mommy tried and tried to get a picture like this with her camera but it just wasn't up to the challenge. She was so excited that Uncle Tim could get a shot like this. I love my bubbles. When it's not too hot, we'll got outside and blow them. Mommy would always tell me to go get it. So now I say, "Get it?" and Mommy says, "Go get it," so I run after them and try to get it before it pops.

Me and My Horsey

I don't call my horsey..."sey" anymore. I actually call him horsey. . .just not crystal clear. I'm glad Uncle Tim got a shot of me on it. It made for a great shot. Sorry horsey isn't smiling. I tried really hard to get him to smile but for some reason he just wouldn't do it.

Me and Aunt Bethany

Here's the picture that didn't make it with the actual post. Sorry!!

Me and Aunt Bethany

I was so happy to show off my room to Aunt Bethany...that's Uncle Tim's wife. She is so much fun to play with! We'll definitely have to do it again Aunt Bethany!

Still Lovin' The Bug

Though I have a serious face here...I'm still thrilled about my wheely bug and enjoy taking quite rapid spins on it. Next time you're over I'll show you my spinning move. I go really fast and then pick my feet up and spin around on it. Mommy and Daddy may have their hands full when I learn to drive!

Ticklish

Did I tell you I was ticklish? Well, I am. Daddy is the best tickler ever too! He really knows how to get me a laughin'. Uncle Tim caught this on camera too!

This One Stands Alone

How much more of this can I take? That's what I'm thinking here. I mean, gee whiz, Mommy and Daddy...you're cramping my style here. Enough already.

Me and My Cooky Parents

Little did I know all that extra lovin' was being poured out to prepare me for the little guy that would soon be coming to share that love with me! But Mommy and Daddy said that I don't have to share it...I'll still get all their love and Grant will too. Phew, I didn't want to give that up!

Mommy and Daddy and Baby Grant (still hiding)

Here are a few shots taken by Uncle Tim of Mommy and Daddy. . .and Grant of course but he's still in Mommy's belly. He would soon be making his way out in about two weeks. These are the last shots of Mommy's pregnant belly before Grant's big entrance. Who knew a 9 lb. 12 oz. baby was all tucked up inside that belly?!

Pictures from Uncle Tim

The following several pictures are taken by my Uncle Tim. He is a photographer in the Atlanta area. Check out how good he is!! Mommy was so excited to have him take pictures of our family. Here are some of her favorites and when she gets more free time she'll post some more that he took after Grant was born. All of these pictures are from when we went to Grandmama and Grandaddy's house several weeks ago. To check out more of Uncle Tim's work hit the link to the right under family and friends. He does weddings and senior photos...and of course he takes great pictures of us kids!! I would highly recommend him for your next photo shoot!!

Mommy Loves Me

Here's a tender moment with me and Mommy. She loves to give kisses and I love to get them. Now, before I go to sleep for my nap and for bedtime I always say, "kiss, kiss" and go to the edge of the crib for Mommy or Daddy to give me a kiss. Then I follow that with, "hu, hu" for a good hug. I lean my cheek out for further reinforcement of what I'm asking for. I always get my hugs and kisses. I hope that always stays that way!

Weee, Daddy!

I love to be thrown into the air. It doesn't scare me at all! Daddy is really good at it so Mommy thankfully leaves the job to Daddy.

The Swing

Here I am again on the "swee." These were the best swings ever! You see my cousin Wyatt on the horsey behind me? Doesn't that look fun? I'm too little Mommy and Daddy say, but when I get bigger I'm gonna have Wyatt show me how to do that!

The Slide

Can you tell I love the "sli?" Uncle Tim caught the perfect expression to capture just how I feel about this wonderful piece of playtime equipment! Weeeee!!! At the top now, I like to help Mommy prepare me for my plummet to the bottom. She says, "Ready, set,...." and I say..."Go!"

Me and My Cousins...Take Two

You've seen a shot like this before...a month or so ago...but Uncle Tim did such a good job that we had to post his picture! We were having a blast together! I just love clapping my hands!

Peace...and an Update

I'm here for two reasons (hence the two fingers). One...to say..."peace dudes." And the other...to give you a quick update from my two week appointment. Here are the highlights:

We go in. We sit in the waiting room. Hannah is happy. I am happy.

We go back to the room. Hannah SCREAMS. I'm cool as a cucumber.
Mommy strips me down. I'm okay. Hannah is still screaming. Mommy can barely hear the nurse.
They measure my length. I'm 22 1/4 inches long.
They weigh me. I weigh 10 lbs. 3 oz. A pound and one ounce increase from two weeks ago. \
I brag to Hannah. She NEVER could put on that much weight in such a short time. . .or long time for that matter.
We wait for the doctor. Hannah is happy. Hannah plays with the toys.
The doctor comes in. Hannah screams. I scream.
Mommy holds Hannah. Hannah is happy.
The doctor checks me all over. I scream. Hannah calms down.
All looks good. The doctor leaves. Hannah screams. I scream as Mommy puts my clothes on.
We leave...Hannah screaming, me screaming. Phew!

More Closeups

So guys, here I am again. . .sleeping. I guess Mommy thought that this looked like a good time to take a few shots. A few..who am I kidding? She took a gazillion! I'm surprised she didn't post all of them on here. So much for restful sleep. I couldn't really get my sleep on because of all the clicking and flashing at times. But I hope it was worth it for all of you blog readers out there. By the way, what is a blog?

A Tutu

Well, look what my friend Hayden brought me...this awesome tutu! I just love it. I like to twirl around in it and sometimes just play in it like it's a regular article of clothing. And Hay-hen (Hayden), if you're reading this...I wanted you to know that I've been talking about you and your mommy and daddy since you left. I like to say, "Hay-hen, bye bye, doe (door), outsigh (outside), ca (car), house." Thankfully Mommy speaks my language. She knows I'm saying that Hayden went bye bye...out the door, outside, and in their car to go to their house. I'll put it all together some day . Thanks Hay-hen. I love my tutu. Maybe we can play again soon!!

In Mommy's Shoes

So this is what it's like to be in Mommy's shoes. It's not that bad. A little cumbersome to walk...but not too bad.

Our First Stroller Ride Together

Here I am with Grant. This is his first stroller ride. He didn't quite know what to think. He did okay for the first part of the ride but then screamed his head off the way back. BUT...that's nothing compared to the last one we took. He SCREAMED the whole way. So we had to turn back early. I'll cut the guy a break though. It is hot and he is just a few weeks old. We managed to go to the pool Saturday and he did much better...he slept the whole time. I think it was the gushing mushrooms that did it. So here I am being the patient sister. Mommy said she was really proud of me.

Another Thumb Sucker?

I try so hard to get my thumb or fingers in my mouth but most of the time I can't quite seem to get them there. But it just so happens the other night I managed to get my thumb up there. Now, I can't say I've done it again since but I sure hope I can learn how to get it up there because I enjoy it so much. It calms me down and Mommy and Daddy sure like that. Good thing my sister is a pro at it. I'll have to get some tips from her.

Grandmama

Here's a shot of us with Grandmama. We love you Grandmama!

Grandmama and Grandaddy Visit

Grandmama and Grandaddy came to visit us the other weekend. They brought us a great dinner and some new clothes for me and Grant. We had such a good time together!! Grant, you're gonna just love Grandmama and Grandaddy!!

More Peek-a-Boo

Can you tell Mommy took a lot of pictures of me on this day? As posted previously, I enjoy playing a little peek-a-boo behind Grant's swing. So here are some more shots of me playing peek-a-boo with Mommy and Grant (I don't think Grant was playing though because I never heard him say peek-a-boo back. Thankfully, Mommy pulled through).

A Good Big Sister

Well, as Grant told you in a previous post, I enjoy bringing him things...one of which is his little blue "goggy," aka, "fro-ro," aka "puppy." I like to use many synonyms to show off my blossoming vocabulary. But some of you may doubt that I am being so nice to my new little brother. So, again, I had Mommy document this through photos. Here I am bringing him his goggy and laying it ever so gently onto his blanket. Then, I proceed to watch it for a minute to make sure it doesn't fall off the moving swing. I really think Grant appreciates it. He doesn't say so...but I can tell it in his face. He's thankful.

A Closeup of Me in My Hat

I told Mommy to zoom in and get a closeup with me in my hat. I just feel so cool. I've never had a baseball cap...and a pink one at that! It's right down my alley! Thanks cousin Allie for letting me wear your totally cool hat. I'll take really good care of it!

My Suit from the Back

Here's a shot of me in my suit from the back. I love the little hole. I think it's so stylish. Who's ready for the pool?

My New Suit...and Hat

Like my new swimsuit? Mommy picked it out. I just love it. Also, check out my hat. It used to be Allie's and she's letting me borrow it. I think it will be perfect for all those hot summer days. Oh, and in case you're wondering why I'm holding Easter eggs....it's because...I've been on an egg hunt. I know, I know, it's not Easter but that doesn't mean you can't hunt for eggs anymore. Mommy hides them all over the house and then I get to go and find them. I love this game. I can't wait until next Easter...I'm really gonna be good and will rack up. Watch out!

Guy Time

Here I am with Daddy having some guy time. I needed it. I love Mommy, Hannah, and Grandma a ton...but there's just something about being with a guy every now and then that is nice. I feel like he gets me. Our time wasn't too interactive. You see, I just slept for all of it. But it was still nice. I love my Daddy and I can't wait to spend more time with him again!

My First Real Bath

So my umbilical cord fell out kinda early...much to my dismay because that meant...a real bath. You see, for those of you who don't know me yet, I'm a pretty particular guy. I'm not as big on certain things that other babies are...one such thing is the bath. While it soothes many babies, it de-soothes me. Hannah told me how much I would love it because she did. But, I don't. Can you tell from these photos? Look at the photo with Hannah watching. Do you see that expression on my face? I'm saying...Get me outta here! This is definitely NOT what I signed up for! But she sat there cool as a cucumber sucking her thumb while I got clobbered. Can you tell from the closeup of my face that I was worn out after all that action? Phew! I don't know if I'll get used to this or not.

Little Snuggle Bunny

I've caught Mommy calling me her little Snuggle Bunny. Perhaps this is why. I love to sleep all snuggled up. It makes me feel cozy. Whenever Mommy or Daddy...or anyone holds me I like to be as close as possible and as compact as possible. It feels just like it did in the womb. Ahhh....

Peek-a-Boo!

I like to go behind "Gant's" swing and peek out behind it. Mommy and I play peek-a-boo like that. I think it's so funny. Grant doesn't seem to mind either.

Sweet Sister

I really like my sister, Hannah. She's real nice to me. She brings me my puppy, blanket, and "pa-pass" aka...a pacifier. She also swings me in my swing. And best of all...she gives me great kisses and hugs. I'm so glad she likes me. I think we'll be good friends. Here she is giving me one of many kisses.
