Yeah for Grandmama!

Grandmama came down the other weekend to play with us. We had a great time! I just love it when she comes! I think she's a lot of fun based on how excited Hannah gets whenever she's around. Can't wait to see you again Grandmama!

Mr. Cookie, Say Goodbye.

The other day we made cookies to share with our new neighbors. Mommy saved us a few. Boy was I happy about that. Here I am, letting the cookie know its fate is near.

Putting it Down the Hatch

What a cookie!

Savoring Every Bite

I want to taste each and every chocolate morsel. Mmmm. This is so yummy.

My Work Here is Done...Or Is It?

And that's how you eat a delicious cookie.

"I like (with a southern draw) dat. Mo?"

Everyday translation: I like that. Can I have some more?

Okay, Seriously?

Seriously, how many more times is Mommy going to ask Hannah to tickle me? Does it look like it tickles? Come on, Mommy, give me a break here. I'm just trying to relax.

Relaxin'...It's What We Do Best

I've enjoyed my relaxing time on the couch with my big sis Hannah. There's nothing like a Boppy to make you feel as cool as a cucumber. Hannah prefers pillows. So much so, that she often will go and pull all of the pillows of the couches and pile them up all by her. But this time she was content with just one. I'm not too sure what we were watching. Lately it seems all Mommy has on are the Olympics. She even had Hannah cheering at the men's volleyball game yesterday. AND she's trying to talk Hannah into gymnastics and running. Watch for another post on Hannah's Olympic training. Shawn Johnson, watch out. Hannah's got some mad skills when it comes to gymnastics. As for running, well, I'm not so sure. Hannah still falls down alot when she takes off. But she DOES like to run. She runs back and forth down our hallway. She'll run to the bathroom and then stop and say "ready...go!" and then run back. She'll do this for quite some time. Maybe she falls down because she gets so worn out. Who knows. All I know is I'm going to be busy as soon as I can start moving around!

I Don't Get It

Hannah was laughing at something on tv the other day. I didn't get it though. But Hannah sure thought it was funny. Man, I can't wait until I can laugh at something!

Zonked Out!

The other day Mommy took me and Hannah over to Mrs. Kim's house to play with some other kids. Mommy didn't mention to tell me they were mostly girls. Mac was there thank goodness but I'm not quite mobile enough to keep up with him. The girls kept doting on me..especially that Ellie. Mommy and Mrs. Kim say I'm her boyfriend. What does that mean? Anyways, on the walk home I zonked out. Why didn't we take the double stroller, you may ask. Well, Hannah pushed her stroller with her babies all the way to Mrs. Kim's house. She was quite the sight! Mommy tried to get a picture but couldn't get a good one!

Mommy's Little Helper

Lately, I've been known as "Mommy's Little Helper." You see, I just love to help. In fact, just the other day I decided I would like to try my hand at unloading the dishwasher. When Mommy wasn't looking I went over to the dishwasher and pulled out a cup and said, "hereyago Mommy." I think Mommy was impressed. So, with careful supervision, Mommy let me hand her some of the dishes in the dishwasher. I just love my new special job!

Oh, the Irony!

Mommy wanted to capture the irony here. For all you English folks out there..we know...irony may not be the right word. . .kind of like that Alanis Morrisette song "Isn't it Ironic?" Actually, none of it was ironic..just unfortunate...or so Mommy says! But anyways we're going to use that word loosely here. For those of you who have been following my life through this blog..you know that I NEVER would take a bottle. Well, now I LOVE bottles! Can you tell? I pull out every one of those bottles Mommy bought for me and tried to get me to use long ago and now I just have a good ol' time with them. And there are SO MANY. There are kinds you drop baggies into, some that look like sippy cups, and some that look normal. Man, I can't get enough of um! Who would have thought I would fall in love with these bottles...and almost two years later from when I was SUPPOSED to love them! How ironic!

Misery Loves Company

Well, Mommy had a great title for this shot..."Me and My Boys" until she realized I wasn't going to be too happy about this picture. Therefore, she decided the chosen title fit better. And while these are my "boys" I was feeling pretty miserable. I had just about had enough of that camera. But, these in fact are my boys (notice the emphasis). Hannah pretends they're her's and often does not like me to hold them, but I try to tell her these are my boys. I guess I'll have to hold onto them tightly if I want to keep it that way!

My Silly Cousins!

I love playing with Allie and Kyle! They're so silly! Can't you tell? And just like I had some yummy cake..so did Allie! I wonder if she was wired like I was?

Aunt Ash and the Girls

Aunt Ash is sure fun to have around. If you can't tell by my face...I wasn't having the most exciting time. I had already eaten my cake and I really didn't know the other folks there. So, being the fun aunt she is, Aunt Ash took us into Gandma's and Papa's room to play. Then the fun really started! I'm so grateful Aunt Ash loves to play with us so much! I always have the best time!

The Mastermind

Here's "Gandma" aka..The Mastermind. She was the one who planned the party and surprised Papa. She did a great job! Everything was so lovely! I love you "Gandma."

Par-Taay!

So, like I said earlier, we had a big birthday bash for Papa. And guess what was there? Cake and icecream! Daddy was so good to me. We picked a spot out of the way so we could chow down on the goodies! And boy did I LOVE it! In fact, Daddy gave me so much that I stayed awake ALL the way back to Locust Grove! Yes sir, you heard me right. This chick didn't fall asleep until 10:30 at night! I was wired! And even though Grant didn't have any icecream or cake..he stayed awake the whole way too!! Except for he was mostly screaming unless Mommy held the pacy in his mouth, which she did the whole three hour trip back. It was fun having Mommy sit in between us...but I don't think she thought it was so much fun!

My Dear Friend, "Manumena"

Yes, here we are back together again, me and "Manumena." For those of you who don't speak my language..it's Maggie. I think she was surprised at how much I've grown since she last saw me. I was still gentle with her so as not to frighten her. I especially had to be gentle with her because she just had knee surgery on her ACL. So she is very tender. I knew she wouldn't be up to chasing balls so I rolled them right to her. I know she appreciated that. I gently patted her paw to show my love and concern for her too. I often express my concern for Maggie to Mommy. I say, "Manumena, knee, okay?" To which Mommy assures me it will be soon. Phew, Manumena, I'm sure glad to hear that.

Snug as a Bug

When I took a bath at Grandma's and Papa's house they had big fluffy towels for me to wrap up in. Usually I just use my baby towels...but I think I might start requesting these big ones. I felt so good all wrapped up in it!

The Harman Guys

Daddy and I like to relax. We are just enjoying some television..and might I add that Grandma's and Papa's television is quite the sight! Please remember, I am NOT wearing a dress. Again, this is my sleep sack, a more comfortable alternative to the snappy sleepers.

Happy Birthday Papa

I'm really into singing Happy Birthday to people. I don't have all the words down yet but here's what I've got so far: "Happy Day You...Papa." I'm singing to Papa because it was his birthday just the other day. In fact, we had a big birthday party for him on Sunday before we left to come back home! It was a blast...more pictures to come. I love you Papa...and "Happy Day You Papa!"

Playtime with Kyle

Now that Kyle is more mobile, he and I can have a good time together. We weight pretty much the same and I'm just a bit taller. Don't forget though that I am a YEAR older. Daddy had a good time with Kyle too. Kyle and I talked about how life was as a little tyke. I asked him if he liked being the younger brother and if he could give me any tips on being a better big sister. He had some wise words to share. I will make sure I put them to good use as I help Grant out in life.

Is Kyle Boring or Something?

Now, I thought Kyle was a pretty fun guy, but from the looks on Sean's and Papa's faces...he just wasn't too exciting. I guess they're just a little more fast paced than us little tykes. Don't worry Kyle, I think you're a blast!

Grocery Shopping

I see Mommy do this all the time, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I decided to start off like most mommies do and take only one baby with me while I shopped. I've seen Mommy pretty stressed out with two babies so I thought I'd rather not try that! All in all, it was a blast!

Crazy Kyle!

Here's Kyle just enjoyin' some yummy blocks....man I remember those days!

Lovin' Allie

We went to Birmingham last weekend and boy did I have fun! We have many more pictures to post but here's one to whet your appetite! As soon as we arrived, I got busy playing with Allie upstairs at "Gam-ma's" and Papa's house. And guess what I found out? This exact kitchen Allie and I are playing with was the one Mommy and Aunt Melissa and Aunt Ashley played with! Papa made it! He and Gam-ma repainted it to look a little more modern! I loved it! Oh and I love Allie too! Isn't she the sweetest?

Southern Living at Home Proposal

Okay, so this has NOTHING to do with Hannah and Grant...well...in a sense it does...it helps with the diapers and formula! Some of you may know that I sell Southern Living at Home. I guess I should say I try to sell it! I haven't done too well these past several months. BUT, I wanted to try to get it moving again and have decided to target more online sales. Basically, you look through the catalog, find something you'd like for a wedding, Christmas, birthday, or a just for fun gift...and tell me to get it. I can now have it sent right to your door even if you live miles away. Although I do think it may be a little extra. Also, another great thing that is allowing me to do this is that they now have the catalog online. So all you have to do is go to the website to flip through the book. I'll post the link at the bottom of the email. So, with all of that said, let me give you a proposal:

I am looking for TEN women (first come, first serve) to commit to sell or buy $100 worth of products. This is actually VERY simple! In return, you get 40% in free products. . .due to our Double Hostess Month. So if you sell $100 you get $40 in free products. If you sell more, then you get more free stuff! For those of you who like to save money and get a deal..which is me...this really is a deal. I wouldn't put it on here if it wasn't. Also, the top three people who sell the most will get a half priced item and the top seller will get a free product. And as always there are customer specials.

I could tell you more but won't bore you with all of this. Just email me or leave a comment of this blog if you are even remotely interested. I need to know by Monday, the 11th. But, even if you don't want to do it this time. I'm going to do something like this again. Or even if you just want to buy something from the catalog...let me know and I'll get it for you and send it right to your door!

Okay, I promise I won't interrupt the blog again with this advertisement!!!

Thanks friends! and thanks so much for reading our blog! I'm glad to know SOMEBODY is reading it!!

Love,
Jess

Goggy Want Cho's

The other day I mentioned to Mommy that my "goggy" (doggy) was hungry. I put him in my booster seat. Mommy then asked if he would like some "cho's" (cheerios). What a great idea, I thought! Mommy didn't really think I was serious until I came walking or should I say trying to walk with a bag of cho's. I had taken it upon myself to help Mommy out and go ahead and get the Cheerios out of the big box on the floor in the pantry. But Mommy still insisted he really wasn't hungry as she walked the bag back to the pantry. I had to get my goggy his cho's so I pulled out the tears. I cried "No, no, goggy want cho's!" I think Mommy got the message. So she pulled out a bowl and poured a few cho's in there for my goggy. Then I sat on the floor with him to help him eat his cho's. He was a little slow so I took it upon myself to help him eat them. I know goggy was thankful.

Surprise!

Well, we just got back from a short trip to Bham (more pictures from that trip later). And, being the pooper I am, I hadn't done the big job for almost a week. Mommy thought I would go while we were in Bham but I'm just not comfortable pooping anywhere but my home. So, this morning, during the rush to get to Walmart I let it all go. Some of you may be grossed out by this posting..but this is about our daily lives. And this is VERY common. So,we decided to document my poopy. Now, this isn't an every once in awhile poopy. No sir. This is what happens EVERY time I poop. I think it's because I don't go very often so when I do go...watch out! Mommy thought we were in the clear today because she didn't feel anything. But just as soon as she thought that...my back turned wet. And lo and behold...poopy had squirted up my back! So of course, after disrobing, I had to take my second bath for the day. You know, I usually do this on Walmart days. You know why? I HATE going to Walmart. So this is just me making my statement. The other pics are of me after I got Mommy really good with my poopy and she gave me a bath. I couldn't stop smiling! I'm a typical boy I guess!

Scavaging

As you'll read from the next post, grocery store days are CRAZY. And today, as you saw in the previous post...we got started a little late. By the time we finally got home from Walmart it was an hour and a half past my lunch time. So, needless to say, I was hungry. I knew Mommy was busy getting the cold groceries unloaded so I took it upon myself to get me some food. So, while Mommy had the fridge opened, I spotted my much loved "gapes" aka grapes. It was a perfect level for little ol' me. So I stepped right up and got me some. I enjoyed the frigid air as well. Do you know how hot it is these days? My face got red and I was sweaty just walking from Walmart to the car...granted we were parked A LONG WAYS AWAY thanks to spotting a special cart almost at the very end of the aisle!

This is How it Ended

Well, time for nap and we really left Mommy with a big job...cleaning up. For those of you who feel guilty about how your house looks...maybe this will make you feel better. We keep Mommy so busy these days..especially on grocery store days...that she has no time to pick up behind herself. When we get home from the grocery store..part two of the adventure picks up. You see, it's almost time for me to eat again...and take a nap..and the same for Hannah. AND there are groceries that have to be put up..at least the cold ones for now. So life is chaotic when we get home from the store. Today, Mommy laid me down in my swing. Hannah rolled around on her wheely bug and kept shutting Mommy out as she raced back and forth to the car for the groceries. Then, she puts all the cold stuff away. Then, she gets Hannah ready for lunch. She basically dumps a variety of food on her tray to keep her busy while she then goes to nurse me. Then she fixes me a bottle of formula to top me off. While I'm finishing my meal, Hannah finishes. She begins acting up and disobeys Mommy. So then I get put down so Mommy can discipline Hannah. As Mommy is disciplining Hannah she notices her diaper is sopping wet and has leaked through onto her shorts. Mommy has to rethink the timeout spot. She lets her sit on the hardwood floor so she doesn't get the couch stinky with pee pee. Then, after Hannah has settled down they have a heart to heart. Then, her diaper gets changed. After that, it's back to my bottle. The phone rings a couple of times in the midst of the feeding. Finally though, I finish. It's time for a nap. . .two hours late! So when Mommy puts us to bed she has a lot of cleaning up to do. Mommy wonders how all those other mommies do it.
