Well, Hello There!

Hey, wanna see my new trick? Well, you're looking straight at it! I can wave hello now! I have become quite good at it too. I can almost do it on demand every time! I love to do it because when I wave another person waves! Fancy that! So, hello to all my blog readers out there. Hello!

Just Enjoying the View

Ahh, what a relaxing day. This couch is so comfortable and provides a front row seat to the window that looks out back. Not to mention, it also provides a great view to the tv. So somedays mommy and I sit here and just chill in the midst of our hard day's work.

Just Call me Gumby!

Can you do this? I can and I love to do it. There's just something about being able to fold in half that is so exhilirating. I do it all the time now. The doctor says I shouldn't be able to do that but I can and I do. If I get a little tired of sitting up...well...I just fold over to take a short break and then, voila...I'm refueled and ready to go again. Just try it...it may just make your day!

Making Some Progress

While I was gone a couple of things have begun to slowly develop. . .such as this new stance. Now I can't get to this position on my own...mommy has to put me like this. BUT...I can hold myself here for a little bit. So I am slowly moving towards crawling. But I still think it will be awhile. What is the other development you may ask. Well...lo and behold...my two lower front teeth are starting to come in! It's very hard to see them so a camera wouldn't help here. But mommy finally noticed two tiny white spots (those are my teeth) poking through my gums. Can you believe it? Finally...those pearly whites are showing themselves! As soon as they are more pronounced I will get mommy to get a real good shot of 'um!

Meet My New Friend "Stip"

Hey, I made a new friend! She has a funny name. Mom calls her "Stip." I really like Stip. She came to stay with us for a couple of days and we had so much fun! I especially liked her long hair. I got so tickled. Mommy says I was a little show off when Stip came because I kept smiling and laughing. Well, what can I say...I like the attention. She has such a good smile so I can't help but smile back! Oh yeah...mommy said she is a doctor! Yikes! But no need to worry on my end. She's a doctor for puppies like Emmett. So Emmett, you better watch out...she may poke you with that needle. That's what my doctor does when I see him!

Goin to Grandma's (and Papa's) House

Hi Folks...we're back! After receiving a few complaints about no recent posts, mom and I got it together enough to post these new pictures. And I want to say thanks to all those who showed concern during my cold...I am doing so much better now and no longer have to sleep on that funny pillow! I fell off a couple of times...that was no fun! But last weekend mommy and I went to Birmingham to visit her good friend Bess. Of course we visited Grandma and Papa too! But we didn't take too many photos...just these with me and grandma. Are we a cute duo? I did have a good time there although I am still having a hard time letting anyone but mommy hold me. I just get a little nervous is all.

Under the Weather

Well, I have contracted a little cough. We think I may have gotten it from the pool on Sunday. I am not napping very well because of this pesky thing. So mommy called the doctor's office to make sure she didn't need to bring me in and if there was anything else she could do (I was hoping they would say...no more of the nose aspirator...but I don't think they did because she sucked out my nose some more..I mean good grief..if she sucks any harder she'll suck my brains out!). They did tell her to elevate me while I sleep. This was the best we could do. But it sure is comfy! I guess mommy has a long road ahead of her when it comes to caring for me and my ailments! Okay, off to sleep I go....I hope.

Jasmine Trias Wanna Be

A good friend of our's at church picked up this flower hair clip for me! Isn't it pretty? I thought it matched my colorful outfit pretty well too! Mommy calls me the Jasmine Trias wanna be. She said she was in American Idol at one point and ALWAYS wore a flower in her hair. Do any of you remember that? I sure wouldn't because I was non existant then. But we did all agree I looked pretty stylish. We went shopping with Grandmama yesterday so I had to look cute! Oh yeah, I gave you a side view as well...so you could get the full effect!

Pool Time

Daddy picked up this great turtle float for me. Isn't it grand? All I have to do is sit in it and mommy or daddy push me around. And it even has a neat shade on it to keep the sun out of my eyes. We all went to the pool the other night and had a blast. . .well other than the fact that I was really tired and I think I may have gotten sick (just a cough and runny nose)!

My First Hair Clip

So, do you like it? I finally have enough hair to sport this hair clip. I feel ever so stylish in this pink barrette. Thanks so much Grandma for these hair clips. I have one to match just about every outfit I own. It did feel good to keep my hair out of my face while mommy, daddy, and I went around town today to run some errands. I am just turning into such a big girl!

I'm in Here Mom!

Just so mom remembers where I am when she comes to wake me up, I like to stick my feet in the air. I can't pull myself up yet so this is the best I can do to remind mommy where I am. I think it works because she always finds me!

The Hannah Pose

So this is my trademark pose. I love to keep my wrists limp...almost like I am a little bird. People always seem to laugh at this pose so I thought...why not keep it up...I like making people laugh!

Check it Out!

So I am sitting here on our steps like a big girl. I was so excited (as you can see by my face)! Mommy took a few shots of me sitting here. There are many more but we don't want to bore you with what looks to be the same shot to most but are clearly very different to mommy. Oh and ignore that funny spot behind me. Mom just needs to vaccum.

How Can They Resist?

I flash smiles like these when I want something really bad. I am beginning to learn it works pretty well. I guess they just can't resist my gummy smile. Oh and speaking of a gummy smile...that's right folks still no teeth. Mommy and I were wrong when we said I was getting teeth. I think that was, what, 2-3 months ago! I'm still all gums! We'll let you know when those pearly whites finally make their debut!

My Special Blue Cup

This is my special blue cup. Boy do I love it. I even have one for the pool. But I have to be careful with that one...mommy says I can't drink the pool water (but, this is just between me and you, I actually have drunk some of the pool water...and it does taste quite good. I get a good sneak in when mommy isn't looking. Shhh...don't tell). But this here cup is safe. I even have had water out of this one. Mommy said I may just start drinking out of cups since I don't do the bottle and I don't do the sippy cup too well either. I mean, that's what I'm talking about, just skip all those baby steps and go straight for the real deal. That's been my plan the whole time but mommy and daddy haven't quite caught on. I'm trying to show my cup readiness with my

special blue cup. Maybe it is working.

Drying off with Dad

So this is what I look like after my bath these days...like I said, daddy bathed me the other night so mommy could get some shots of me. I was a little fussy after this bath...I just wanted to stay in a little bit longer but mom and dad said it was time for bed. But daddy sure is sweet to me.

And Some More Shots of Me in the Tub

Here are some closer up shots of me enjoying my tub. I wanted to point out one thing to you in these photos too. Do you see that big shiny circle on the side of the tub...well guess who I can see in there...I bet you'll never guess...it's me!! I get such a kick out of that!!! And, sorry about my face in that first photo...I was a little perturbed that Mommy was taking a picture of me at that moment...I was not ready for the shot.

Bathtime Fun

Well folks, now that I can sit up on my own bathtime has taken on a whole new dimension! Now bathtime isn't just for cleaning...it's also for playing! I have TONS of these rubber ducks and they are pretty fun to put in my mouth. Daddy was bathing me here and he even uses my toys to squirt me down! What a blast this is going to be!! Oh and I made sure I was appropriately covered for all photos...well down below at least!

Lovin' Life!

I just love life!! So many great things you can do each day. There are so many things to explore...like these blocks for example. I look forward to each day and what it holds in store for me. I get super excited now and at random times I will just scream a high pitched squeal at the top of my lungs...because...well...I can! You should try it sometime. It's so exhilirating!!

Busy at Play

So I finally could get into these blocks I've been curious about. Grandmama and Grandaddy got me these for Christmas but I was too little to play with them at the time. But now, oh boy, can I do some serious playing with them! Mommy just empties them in front of me and I go to town. I like to taste test each one to see if their texture is pleasing to my tender gums. If not, well, I just toss them to the side to search for another one. But after awhile I need Mommy's help because I will have tossed all of them out of my reach! So Mommy rounds them back up and places them back to where I can reach them. She's a good helper. Then I do it all over again because I have forgotten which ones I preferred! Oh yeah, I also like to bang them together because they make such an interesting noise. I bang them together a few times and then holler out at the top of my lungs! It's such a fun game! So this is me...busy at play.
