Me and My Peeps

So here's the gang that always hangs out together everyday. I've got my good ol' dolly to the right of me and my good ol' monkey to the left (read a little further to learn more about my monkey and his origin). We just have a good time together. We laugh and play. We sit and chill. It's just a great group of friends. They don't even holler or cry if I hit them or pull at them. And the best part is, we're all about the same size! I tell you what, there is something to be said about being able to look at someone square in the eyes. I like it.

Meet My Monkey

Well last weekend mommy and I went up to see Grandmama and Grandaddy. We had a terrific time. So, while I was there I spotted this incredible monkey sitting on one of the beds...usually the bed Wyatt, my cousin, sleeps on when he's there. I was drawn to him, the monkey, immediatly. Grandmama was so nice to let me take him home with me! He even sat next to me in the car! Wyatt, if you're reading this...I can always return the monkey when you get back in the states. I'll just take good care of him while you're gone so he won't be lonely..okay? See here, I'm just lovin' on that old guy to make sure he knows I care. I know you would want that Wyatt.

My Blue Dress Photo Shoot

So mommy decided to do another photo shoot with me today. I got to do it in my new blue dress Mrs. Tanya got me! I think I look rather beautiful in it! And guess what? Today while mommy and I were at Target I saw a bigger girl wearing the same dress...but purple! So anyways, below are shots of me in my new dress. We tried to make them interesting with different categories. These are my model poses. This is actually my favorite new stance...I call it the "not-so-sure-about-crawling" stance. It's quite comfortable and I'm not yet totally committing to actually crawling. Mommy had to be extra careful though with me during this shoot. I tended to move a little more than I used to back in the day. And this chair is pretty slippery. But I did a good job and made sure I gave mommy some memorable poses. I hope you enjoy our little shoot!

Just Lookin' Around

In these photos the theme is to "look distracted." So I did just that. I found something interesting to hold my attention while mommy took some shots. I think I was focusing on a pretty white string that came off of my dress. What is more exciting than pondering that! Enjoy!

Silly Faces

I like to make silly faces. In fact, I like to do them now with noises. I'm getting pretty good at making my lips rumble together...at least that's what it feels like they are doing! It's pretty funny. But, these pictures are nothing new, just me making more crazy faces. I like to do them cause they make mommy and daddy laugh. I guess I'm just a little comedian! Just wait til I can talk and actually tell you all my jokes I've been working on these last ten months! I've got a lot!

What a Pretty Day

Here I am in my photo shoot just enjoying the pretty day outside from my little perch. Well, at least it LOOKS pretty. It sure didn't FEEL pretty when mommy and I went out to run errands. I just hope I don't inherit mommy's tendancy to sweat easily! I could tell mommy wasn't having a fun time lugging me in and out of my carseat in 100 degree heat! But once we got into the buildings it wasn't so bad. I've never had to endure the August heat before. It's pretty rough! For all you hard workers out there who have to endure the heat everyday, like my daddy, I would tip my hat off to you if I had one on!

The Full Shot

Here's the full shot of my new dress from Mrs. Tanya. Don't you just love it?

Papa-Time

Well, Papa and Grandma headed this way last Tuesday. Papa had to work in Macon so he dropped Grandma off for a few days. He came back yesterday to pick Grandma back up. But before he left I got some Papa-Time. I wasn't my usual chipper self though. I have picked up another cold. So I started to get worn out and just decided to rest on Papa. He's real comfortable. We had a good time together for the little bit I got to see him. I hope next time Papa I will be feeling a little better and be more fun to be around. But thanks for letting me relax with you for a bit. I love you!

A Visit From Grandma

Guess who I got to see? Grandma! I hadn't seen Grandma since the beginning of June so it was so good to see her. She stayed with us a couple of days. We had such a great time. She played a lot with me. I even let her watch me while mommy went to get a haircut. For those of you who know me, that's a BIG deal! I'm quite leery of being left with anyone other than mommy or daddy. But I was a big girl and stayed with Grandma. She played with me in my jumper and we did more Patty Cake. I also showed her a lot of my toys. Thanks so much for staying with me Grandma. It was so much fun. I hope I get to see you again soon!

I Don't Know How I Feel About This!

Well, while Grandma was here she got me doing all sorts of stuff....like standing! Can you tell by my face I wasn't so sure about this? This is hard work guys! But I did get a good workout from it. These legs are getting stronger by the minute. Who knows what I will be doing next? Hey does anyone know if there's a World's Strongest Baby competition out there? If so, let me know...maybe I can try out.

Crazy Hair

Now, most of you probably know that I have some crazy hair. Yes, hair that likes to stick straight up to the sky. Well, this day was particularly bad. I mean, just look at it. What's a girl to do? Mommy finally wetted it to matte it down...but guess how long that lasted? Not very! I know some people pay fortunes to get their hair to stick up on top...but not this girl. This style is au natural. Do you know how many times mommy and I are stopped at the grocery store by someone who is making a comment about my hair. Just listen to what some have said:

"Wow, looks like someone just got up from a nap." To which mom replied, "No, she's been up for a few hours now."

or

"Looks like someone is having a bad hair day." To which mom replied, "Well, I guess every day is a bad hair day."

Now there are a few who find my look endearing saying, "Awww just look at her hair." Well, we take that as an endearing comment...I mean they could be saying that like they feel sorry for me. Who truly knows the motive of their heart.

Then there was one kind lady who understood both mine and mommy's predicament. You see, she too had a daughter with the sticky up hair syndrome and understood there was no real fix to it other than letting it continue to grow until it got so long that it flops over. We appreciate her empathy greatly. And for those babies out there with sticky up hair...stand tall and be proud of the hair God gave you. Because, yes, there are some people out there who would pay a fortune for this style. So just think of yourselves as blessed. That's what I do. And mommy and I like to call my style...."spunky."

The Pincher

I call this move "The Pincher" because I am using my pincher grasp to retrieve my Gerber Puff. Now folks, this has taken me quite some time to achieve. But now that I can do it, let me tell you, some pretty good stuff is going into my mouth. I told mommy to get a close up of this new skill I have developed so all can see. I think the picture may be a little blurry but I think you get the point.

And Now Into The Mouth

And after I get it successfully into my grasp...I head it straight for my mouth. Now, I'm not the BEST at releasing the puff into my mouth. That's still a little tricky. Probably 60% of the time it returns back out of my mouth with my hand....often stuck on my hand. But the other 40% of the time it stays in my mouth where I chew on it with my gums and two teeth. And then down the chute it goes (aka my esophagus...hey I may be a baby but I'm not stupid) and into my tummy.

Yummy, yummy!

At It Again

Even though I can get the Gerber Puffs into my mouth much more easily that doesn't mean I stop sharing with my good pal Emmett. He is such a good friend, how can I resist giving him a treat too? Good boy, Emmett. Good boy.

Hannah, Unplugged

Here are my more "candid" shots...hence the "unplugged" in my title. No special effects here, (well technically there is...the black and white effect...but ignore that), no forced poses, just me chilling out on the couch on a pretty typical day here on Lantana Drive. Am I cool or what?

I'm Bored

This is my bored face. Here I sit, all alone, with nothing too invigorating to do, while mommy snaps more pictures of me. I guess my "bored" face is endearing because she has taken several shots. Little does she know that I am pretty sick and tired of having my picture taken right now. Come on, mom. Put the camera down and get me some toys before I pass out from boredom!

A New Way to Get Crawling

So check this out. I learned a new way to try to get into the crawling stance...see? I mean, this is so much better than laying on my stomach FOREVER while mommy coaxes me to move! I found that this way suits me well. You see I just place my arms and hands like this, straddling one leg. Then I lean forward ever so carefully. If it's a good day, I will bend one leg back and then follow it with the other and voila! I'm on my stomach in a semi-crawling stance. Amazing! So here I am giving it a whirl.

Now, I'm Tired

Well, now I'm tired. That's all I've got for ya. Sorry folks...I just get so tuckered out! Maybe I'll have something for you next time. Until then....keep enjoying these shots and picture in your mind what I will look like one day as I scoot across the carpety terrain..oh and the hardwoody terrain.

Hmmm....Let Me Think About This

Mommy told me we were going to start to have some company during the week. . .not just any company...two BOYS!!!!!! So I told her I had to think about this....hence my pensive face here. Well, after I gave it some thought...I told mom it would be okay. After all, I may get a boyfriend out of it (just kidding!! I'm WAY too young to have a boyfriend!). We should have fun together...that is if they like DOLLS!
